Welcome to the Kinder Bug classroom! I feel truly blessed to be joining the amazing educational and religious community at Holy Family Regional School this year. I come to Holy Family with over twenty years of teaching experience in a variety of educational settings, most recently having taught pre-kindergarten and then first grade at St. Mary Catholic School in Pinckney, Michigan. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Oakland University with endorsements in Early Childhood Education and Science. I also have my Master's in Reading from Eastern Michigan University with a Reading Specialist endorsement. My husband, Dave and I have been married for twenty-eight years and we are the proud parents of two wonderful children. Our daughter is in graduate student at Webster University and our son is currently a sophomore attending Oakland University. Having grown up in Rochester, we are very excited to return to the area and we are looking forward to becoming active in the community.
I love teaching and working with young children. Kindergarten is an especially exciting time as children embark on new adventures in the world of learning. I will strive each day to make your child's kindergarten experience fun and enriching, while instilling a lifelong love of learning. Good communication between home and school will ensure that your child has a very successful school year. One important communication tool is this website that I will continually update with information about our current units of study, special classroom activities, and school wide events. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am looking forward to working with you and your children this year.
