Student Email Access
Student email accounts are Office 365 accounts, as opposed to Gmail accounts.  Any mail sent to a student account ends up in their Office 365 mailbox.


To access that mailbox from home, students should follow the steps below, using their email address plus their computer logon password in the format hfrs####.   Here are the steps:

 Home computer access to HFRS email

  • Use any web browser to navigate to
  • If prompted, select “Work or School Account”
  • Sign in with your Office 365 Outlook email address and Office 365 password.

Android mobile access to HFRS email

  • Open your app tray and click on Settings, then Accounts and Sync, then Add Account
  • Wording for the type of account may vary, but select the Exchange or Corporate option.
  • Enter your Office 365 Outlook email address and Office 365 password (above).
  • Type in the Server box. 
  • Click Next; Choose which items you would like to synchronize; add a nickname for the account.
  • Tap Finish or Finish Setup
  • Your email should now download. The first download can take several minutes. By default, only the last 14 days of data will sync. Some devices will automatically download a security profile and ask you to accept it. Please click on allow or install and your device should start to sync.

iOS mobile access to HFRS email

  • Tap Settings on the Home screen, then Mail, Contacts and Calendars
  • Tap Add Account, then tap Microsoft Exchange
  • Enter your Office 365 Outlook email address and Office 365 password (above).
  • If you want, you can enter a different descriptive name for your account in the Description box. Tap Next
  • Type in the Server box. 
  • The domain box isn't required to fill out; tap Next
  • Choose what you would like to sync; tap Save
  • Once that's finished it'll bring you back to the mail page and show that your student account is listed.
  • Note: If you have synced your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad with Outlook or iCal and Address Book using iTunes, you will lose that data if you choose to sync Calendars or Contacts.
