My name is Hala Abboo and I am excited to begin this year with all of you!

Catholic Schools have been an integral part of my academic and religious life since I was in Kindergarten. I feel extremely blessed to now find myself in a   position where I may teach and show the children of our community God’s love for us all.

I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Social Studies major. I hold a ZA Early Childhood endorsement, as well as a master‘s in Elementary Education. This is my 12th year teaching Early Childhood, and my sixth year at Holy Family. I am proud to be a part of a school that places Jesus at the heart of education!

I strive to meet the needs of the whole child and tailor my instruction to reach a diverse range of students of varying learning modalities. I appreciate that with each new day come warm smiles, new and exciting discoveries, inspired ideas, and a renewed love of learning.  My passion is teaching young children, and the children make every minute of it rewarding!

Our class will be going to the Christmas gift shop tomorrow, Friday, December 14.  Please send in your money envelope that went home last week, if you would like your child to participate.  Without the envelope, we will not send them to shop.  There will be parents at the gift shop to assist them with their shopping. Thank you for your continued support!

Hi Parents, I would like to thank all of you for meeting with me at conferences. It was a pleasure sharing your child's progress, we are so proud of each and every one of them!

We have been practicing wearing and zipping up our winter gear, please practice at home!

Tuesday, November 13-Non-uniform

Donate $1 in your child's folder, and wear non-uniform.  All proceeds will go to Hispanic Outreach in Pontiac.

Hi parents! Please check your child's red folder daily. In addition to the math homework, we may add another homework from time to time. Please have your child practice that skill, and return the page the following day. Remember to read at least 15 minutes daily with your child.
I will also send quiet time towels home on Friday.  Please wash them and return them on Monday.  Have a great rest of the week!

Hi Everyone!

Your child’s towel is coming home today, please wash and send back on Monday!  Happy Fall :-)
